Minneapolis, MN, June 12, 2024 — The Coven, a network of co-working spaces designed for belonging, announces their sixth location through the launch of their second out-of-state franchise in Marshfield, WI.
The locally-owned location will have open coworking space, conference rooms, phone booths, gender neutral restrooms, collective seating, printing services, private offices and 24 hours keyless entry. Members will also have digital community and Nice Healthcare telehealth access.
Marshfield is a rural community full of culture, restaurants, and access to world class education, healthcare and manufacturing. The Coven will offer a membership based space for all people to gather, collaborate and grow as entrepreneurs and professionals in their industry. This location will be the second franchise beyond the borders of Minnesota. With the launch of this new franchise, The Coven is committed to bringing its inclusive co-working experience to more communities.
“This site will be a catalyst for creativity and productivity, offering a flexible and vibrant workspace that meets the needs of remote workers, freelancers, and businesses,” said Marsha Bushman, The Coven Marshfield Community Owner. “We are already a community incredibly shrouded in innovation and collaboration. Creating a specific outlet for local professionals and entrepreneurs in a dynamic downtown environment will support efforts to attract talent to the region, support businesses, and enhance the community’s economic growth.”
As remote and hybrid work models grow, coworking spaces keep communities vibrant by drawing daytime foot traffic and boosting local business spending. This worker presence supports businesses and fosters a dynamic environment that encourages community interaction and economic health.
Coworking spaces, like The Coven, support the growing sector of small businesses and entrepreneurs, crucial for shaping community economies and social fabric. According to the Small Business Administration’s Office of Advocacy, small firms accounted for 60% of net new jobs since the end of the recession (mid-2009 to mid-2013). Coworking spaces offer affordable, flexible workspaces for entrepreneurs, vital for their role in local economies, providing unique consumer experiences, and spurring further economic development.
“Communities of all sizes deserve spaces that foster belonging,” said The Coven co-founder and CEO Alex West Steinman. “Smaller communities are often underserved in coworking and innovation centers. Marshfield is a glowing example of a rural environment with a growing economy, top talent, and incredibly involved community members like Marsha leading the way.”
The Coven is committed to supporting changemakers and visionaries across the country. With a growing network of locations, The Coven is redefining the co-working landscape, providing an inclusive space for collaboration and productivity in communities of all sizes across the nation.
The Coven Marshfield will be strategically located at 211 South Central Avenue, in the heart of Marshfield’s bustling Business Improvement District. Starting in July, The Coven Marshfield will be offering tours, designed to offer a peek behind the scenes at the location renovations. Preparations are being made for a grand opening of the flexible coworking space in the Fall. For more information about The Coven and the newest locations, visit www.thecoven.com
